Established in 2015, we’re a fun and diverse team welcoming players of all ages and abilities. After a year of development, we moved to the national 2 league, finishing 4th in our first year and winning the league two years in a row. In 2024, we went undefeated in the Arnold Clark Caledonia Midlands/East Region League 2 and are now gearing up for the Shield games in 2025. New players are always welcome, and you can start anytime! 🏉🎉
We train every Wednesday & Friday with matches taking place on a Sunday. Our training sessions are a mixture of Fitness, Forwards and Backs Specific training, drills, and skills improvement.
If you are thinking about joining you are more than welcome to come to our training sessions.
For times and places for training, please visit the training section on our website.
2023 has been an amazing year for women's sport in general. But the recent Six Nations showed women's rugby at its best.
We are not only invested in our senior team, but we are now developing an U18s team as well.
With an established girls youth team, we felt that the link between the two was the missing element. The Borders Girls Rugby Team launched on the 17th July 2024.
We regularly train on Wednesday and Friday nights at Lower Poynder in Kelso. 7pm - 8:30pm weds and 6pm - 7pm Fridays.
Our training nights are a mixture of core drills, forwards and backs training, short games and new skills. New and returning players are always welcome at our training sessions.
We all start at the beginning at some point!
We run taster sessions throughout preseason, for anyone interested to come along and test Rugby out. These are great session for Newbies, and as a team we enjoy them too.
Literally a come along and try it out.
Most of the time people come along to 'come and try' and end up staying with us for the new Season.
